Order
When you complete an order, you book a bike for rental. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail.
Payment
The rental price must be paid up front when you complete your order. You can pay using Visa/Dankort, Visa Electron and Mastercard.
Rental Duration
The listed price is per rental day. The total price will include each day that has begun. Drop off must be made within opening hours or by the provided deadline. If the bike is not returned in due time, you will be charged with an additional rental fee per added day. In some cases it may be possible to arrange a different drop off deadline upon request.
Equipment
The equipment is functional, serviced and prepared on delivery. You always get material of high quality. When you book a bike by type and size, you will receive a bike that matches these criteria. You do not book a specific brand, model or color. It is the responsibility of the hirer to make sure that the bike is in order before the handover is completed and usage begins. If problems are found, this must be reported immediately to the point of delivery.
Pick up & drop off
Pick up can be booked to begin at the next available day from an available pick up location. The bike will be ready at 9am. Active Rental does not accept any liability caused by force majeure, transport accidents or any other conditions that may delay or render delivery impossible in due time at the designated pick up location.
The personel of the pick up location can refuse to supply the booked material as a result of unacceptable behavior and/or if they determine that you are incapable of riding a bike due to alcohol or other substances.
Liability
All use of the rented equipment is at your own risk. Active Rental does not accept any liability for loss (directly or indirectly) that occurs while using the rented equipment, for example due to a crash or loss of control. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury to the user or any third party, loss of or damage to property including clothes and accessories. These conditions do not apply in circumstances where disclaimation is prohibited by law.
User's Coverage
You are liable to cover all damages that occur during the rental period. The deductible is up to DKK 1,500 when renting mountain bikes and up to DKK 1,000 when renting everyday bikes and children's bikes.
Theft and loss
You assume full responsibility for the rented equipment for the duration of the rental period from pick up to drop off. The equipment must be dropped off to an employee of Active Rental unless otherwise agreed upon. If another agreement has been made, drop off must follow the provided instructions, for example instruction about location and lockup.
If the rented equipment is stolen or lost during the rental period, you are liable for compensation corresponding to the applicable purchase price.
Cancellation
If you cancel your order within 14 days before the first day of the rental period your payment will not be refunded.
If you cancel your order sooner than 14 days before the first day of the rental period, Active Rental will refund the payment minus an administration fee of DKK350,00.
Active Rental reserves the right to change prices and Terms of Service at any time without warning. Active Rental does not accept liability for errors.
